This Document must be Read and Signed by the Owner or The General Manager responsible for payment.

Disclaimers and General Service Policy

 We charge for initial consultation and or network analysis. We perform and bill consulting services on hourly basis only. Our rate for Microsoft Windows  is $ 69.00 in Maui ($79.00 Honolulu) per hour plus Hawaii GET tax. Minimum charge is one hour time, plus up to 1/2 hr travel time (depending on location).  

Unix and Solaris based systems consulting rates are $ 150.00 /Hr plus air fare and travel time within the Islands. Minimum service time outside of Maui is 2 Hours plus air fare and travel time. (We will need detailed description of your Unix network. Please tell us what platform your system is (HP, IBM, Solaris, Intel) and specific error or support issue required for your Unix/Solaris/Sun-HP-IBM network).

During stabilization period we will charge for return visits, and subsequent time related to our initial visit.

 We do not work on contract basis. We bill for every hour we work for you, including manual revisions for proprietary software or hardware installation. We bill for remote assistance for our services including time spent on the phone answering questions or resolving problems for your systems (on ½ hr. increment of time).

Payment for our Services:  You may make payments for our services via VISA or MASTER CARD. (We use easy Google Checkout and or PayPal for Credit Card Payments).

Unless we have made previous payment arrangements, we appreciate payment for our work on the same day we perform services for you.

If you request that we service your systems, our services must be paid even if you decide not to implement, follow through or finalize work we started for you.

Estimates of time:

We bill on hourly basis. Due to the nature of computer technology, we can not reliably provide you with any estimates of time to complete our work. We can map the general direction of the work, however.  

Disruptions to programs, and systems

Any attempt to repair your systems will result in modifications and disruptions to PCs, programs, networks and schedule. You agree to such disruptions, including permanent or temporary changes we make to your hardware, business, or program files in order to repair or troubleshoot and access your systems.

Backups:

You agree to have made a full backup of all of your data files and programs before we begin to work for you. We suggest a complete test of your backup recovery system ahead of time. We are not responsible for loss of data.

Service Hours and Response Time

Our regular hours are Monday- Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 PM.

Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays fall within “after hours” fee. After hours charges are 1 and ½ times our hourly fee.

Internet and Computer Security Disclaimer

 

Any connection to the Internet exposes you to potential hacking and or corruption of all files, including databases and operating system(s).

 

Virus, Spy ware, Security Disclaimer

At no time during, before, or after anti-virus updates, anti-spy ware installs, and or Security assessments performed by Computer Integrations, does Computer Integrations declare that your network and or any other PC is completely free of virus, spy-ware, secure and or beyond the possibility of being “hacked” or infected by a virus, spy ware, and outsider or insider intrusion.

Any recommended freeware that we may install and or recommend for your systems is used at your own risk and subject to the software installation license.

 

Computer Integrations simply makes recommendations regarding security issues. We will implement, at your request, security measures as specified by third party software in order to detect and attempt to remove viruses, spy ware or known security breaches or to help prevent intrusion and outside penetration or corruption of files and operating system. At times said software is not able to remove some strands of virus or spy-ware. A new installation of your entire operating system and applications may be required.

 

Our Service Philosophy

 

·         Emergency service requests from non-established accounts require a $ 200 deposit in advance payable via Google Checkout, PayPal towards payment for hourly services.

·         If we recommend a new installation to your PCs, (i.e.: if you have been infected by a difficult and malicious strain of viruses, spy-ware, etc) we will recommend that programs and or operating system(s) be reinstalled. If you ask us to perform such re-installation, you agree to have in your possession all necessary programs, operating systems, and authorization codes in order to perform such brand new installation. Please note that Brand new installations require extensive amount of time and you agree to have done a complete and tested backup of your data, before we proceed with it.

·         Some applications or browsers, occasionally corrupt your operating system, and induce it to behave in unstable manner in which case we may suggest an alternative program or hardware.

·         We will not share-maintain any of your networks with any other consultancy, unless you ask us to supervise them ahead of time. We reserve the right to provide service to anyone.

·        There may be Network and Computer Systems Disruption and Access during any service or Upgrade

If you have a network, you may temporarily loose access to your server or your data during network upgrade and workstation setup, including access to your printer(s). While we are extremely carefully not to interfere with your productivity during working hours, it is possible you may loose connection and service from and to the server/ workstations, printer(s), local and remote, at any time during our service time. We will not perform any maintenance or repair on your systems while you are working on your systems.

·         Hardware and Software Warranties and Shipping

All hardware and software supplied by us is warranted through the manufacturer. We do not extend any warranty for any of the software and or hardware that we supply or purchase for you. Should the software and or hardware fail during any period of time, Computer Integrations may, as requested by you, troubleshoot, remove the software or hardware, ship it back to the manufacturer and help you procure a functional one. Time and consulting fees always apply for all such work.

Service time charges for malfunctioning hardware/software

Any time involved in the obtaining of any hardware/software, troubleshooting, removal or replacement of malfunctioning software or hardware will be billed by Computer Integrations on a regular service basis of $ 69.00 per hour in Maui ($79.00 in Honolulu).
